Changes in staff at KMHS
David Beck, M.D., has joined Kitsap Mental Health Services (KMHS) as director of medical services. He will head a staff of medical providers including eight physicians and four nurse practitioners that provide both outpatient and inpatient medical services.

Previously Beck served as director of the community clinic program and staff clinician with Group Health and most recently he was the medical director for the Port Gamble S’Klallam Tribal Health Center and served concurrently as medical director of the South Sound Clinic in Olympia.

Other changes in management staffing at KMHS include the promotion of Beth Friedman-Darner and Donna Poole. Friedman-Darner, former director of outpatient services, has been promoted to clinical associate director. Poole, ARNP, has been promoted to medical services manager. Poole was formerly Outpatient Nursing Supervisor at KMHS for 6 years and has served as president of the Association of Advance Practice Psychiatric Nurses (AAPPN) 2002-2003, and was named Nurse of the Year for AAPPN in 2000.
