Miss Washington, UW Cheerleaders team
up for KCF Charity Golf Event
Miss Washington
Kristen Eddings
The Kitsap Community Foundation (KCF) Acorn Classic Charity Golf Event, hosted by EHL Insurance and Fred Hill Materials, tees off Thursday, Sept. 14 at the Gold Mountain Olympic Course. Participants will enjoy a day of golf, food and fun while investing in the long-term future of local non-profit community organizations. Golf entry includes cart, 18 holes, lunch, range balls, dinner and awards reception, as well as prize opportunities for long drive, closest-to-the-pin and three holes-in-one. Last year, there was a $10,000 hole-in-one winner.

In addition, each registered golfer will receive pictures of their foursomes with Poulsbo’s Kristen Eddings, the new Miss Washington, as well as foursome photos with one of the University of Washington Husky Cheer Team spending the day hosting the event.

Thanks to the “Acorn’s” growing popularity, organizers hope to raise $25,000, adding increased capacity to KCF’s mission to improve quality of life in Kitsap County through endowment-funded grants. To date, KCF cumulative grants of $340,000 have reached over 100 non-profit organizations in the community.
