Amy Hager has joined the marketing department of Wet Apple Media, publishers of the Kitsap Peninsula Business Journal and WestSound Home & Garden magazine. She will be responsible for event planning and management as well as communications outreach, customer service. and graphic production.
Hager knew she wanted to work in the communications field as a sophomore in high school. She started racing go-karts at the age of nine and was introduced to radio by age 14 from a local racing/radio fundraiser. Working in the radio industry for six years, she handled everything from the over night shift, to AM drive and the evening commute.
Hager is an overachiever who learned about media and promotion events while studying for her BA, and also continuing her racing career. She did so while racing in the Mid-American Sportsman series, and also while holding the number one rating on a classic rock radio station.
After graduating from Minnesota State University, Mankato with a BA in Mass Communications and Speech, she moved to Kitsap County to join her husband Josh, who is serving aboard a submarine.
Prior to joining Wet Apple Media, she served as the Marketing Director of Clear Creek Nursery in Silverdale.
