| Advanced Medial Imaging (AMI) and local dental implant specialists have teamed up to provide a state-of-the-art dental implant system. SimPlant is an interactive, 3-D dental planning system developed by a European based software firm, Materialise.
With the use of AMI’s 64-slice CT scanner, images that are taken and will assist the specialist to accurately evaluate and simulate or precisely determine the ideal placement in the jawbone. The SimPlant software designs a surgical template for the location as well as actually guides the implant placement.
AMI will be hosting a training seminar at Harrison Medical Center in Silverdale on Aug. 21 for Kitsap County and Olympic Peninsula periodontists, oral surgeons, prosthedontists and general dentists. The complimentary seminar will begin at 5:30 p.m. and participants will receive two continuing education credits.
