Officials of the Pacific Northwest Salmon Center have announced the 2006 nominees for the Wild Salmon Hall of Fame. The winner will be announced at a gala ceremony and celebration to be held Sept. 23, at the Kitsap Conference Center in Bremerton.

Nominations were solicited from organizations and individuals across the Pacific Northwest. The nominees were then narrowed down to four finalists, one of who will be chosen for induction into the Wild Salmon Hall of Fame. The winner will receive a prestigious award acknowledging and honoring their dedication to the restoration, protection and conservation of Wild Salmon.
The winner will be selected by the Wild Salmon Hall of Fame Final Selections Committee, which is comprised of: Charles Corrarino, Manager, Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife Program; Congressman Norm Dicks; Northwest Indian Fisheries Commission Chair Billy Frank Jr., Jeff Koenings, Director of the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife; and Salmon Recovery Funding Board Chair Bill Ruckelshaus.
Ruckelshaus will also be the Master of Ceremonies for the event.
