For over 30 years, Kitsap Bank has honored local high school graduates by presenting scholarships to the sons and daughters of employees who are graduating from high school and entering a college, trade school or university. This year, ten students were awarded scholarships.
It has been our pleasure over the years to be able to reward the sons and daughters of our employees for their pursuit of higher education, states Jim Carmichael, Kitsap Bank president and CEO, We are proud of these young scholars, and look forward to their successes.
The 2006 scholarship recipients include:
- Lauren Hillard, daughter of Cynthia Hillard and graduate of Gig Harbor High School, will be attending the University of Washington.
- Chelsea Morgan Hansen, daughter of Lori Hansen and graduate of Bainbridge High School, will be attending Olympic College in the fall.
- Melody Tilos, daughter of Thelma Tilos and graduate of Olympic High School, will be attending Olympic College.
- Peter Thompson, son of Joyce Verley and graduate of North Kitsap High School, will be attending Olympic College.
- Nathan Zuchowski, son of Joyce Verley and graduate of North Kitsap High School, will be attending Olympic College.
- Kyle Cryder, son of Cindy Cryder and graduate of South Kitsap High School, will be attending Tacoma Community College.
- Michael S. Blossom, son of Cari Blossom and graduate of North Kitsap High School, will be attending Olympic College. He also received a $1,410 scholarship from Poulsbo Fire Department.
- Cassandra Macapinlac, daughter of Rubilla Macapinlac and graduate of Olympic High School, will be attending the University of San Diego.
- Darcy Ann Wallace, daughter of Virgina Wallace and graduate of Bainbridge High School, will be attending the University of Oregon.
- Andrea Huelsnitz, daughter of Jennifer Pansa and graduate of Olympic High School, will be attending Olympic College.
