| The Bainbridge Island Chamber of Commerce announced recently that it is accepting applications for the Grand Old Fourth of Julys street fair, parade or classic car show.
For the third consecutive year, CFA Northwest Mortgage Professionals has come on board as the Premiere Sponsor. Other sponsors, who provide funds to support vital event infrastructure such as the PA system, sani-cans, volunteer communications, Main Stage entertainment, garbage pick-up and recycling, include Winslow Mall entertainment, the Great American Eagle, and the Classic Car Show. Other sponsors include, Hill Moving Services, Sears & Associates; American Marine Bank, Bainbridge Disposal, Sterling Savings Bank, and the Bainbridge Review. A number of corporate sponsorship opportunities are still available.
The street fair is located in the Town & Country parking lot, on Bjune and Brien streets and in Waterfront Park. It features more than 120 food, arts and crafts, non-profit and information booths. The 10 x 10 booths range from $50 to $300. The Street Fair is held from 9 a. m. to 5 p.m.
This year the theme for the parade is Celebrate Americas Birthday. The parade begins at 1 p.m. Applications are $15 for non-profit and neighborhood groups and $30 for commercial businesses and political organizations or politicians.
The classic car show will again be held on the parking lots behind American Marine Bank, Washington Mutual Bank and other nearby lots. Last year, more than 80 vehicles participated. Applications are $15 per vehicle and participants can also enter the Parade for an extra $10.
