| The Board of Directors of the Kitsap Economic Development Council (KEDC) recently passed a resolution in support of the Port of Bremerton’s Kitsap SEED Project, following a presentation by members of the project management team. The endorsement will facilitate the continued involvement of KEDC staff.
The project recently gained momentum when the Washington State Legislature allocated $800,000 to the Port of Bremerton for associated design and development work. This is in addition to a previous $350,000 initial grant from the federal government to kick the project off, which was secured by Congressman Jay Inslee.
The Clean Technology cluster has emerged as one of several targets sectors for the KEDC in the context of its marketing and business development strategy.
