The Pacific Northwest International Trade Alliance (PNITA) recently announced its decision to endorse, in principle, the concept of bringing a NASCAR Racetrack to Kitsap County. PNITA feels that many items of the proposal remain to be detailed, discussed and approved including financing, infrastructure, environmental and “quality of life” issues, that if developed, this endeavor will provide new economic benefits to Kitsap County including activity from foreign trade in the areas of:
- Travel and Tourism (Car manufacturers from foreign countries are joining NASCAR)
- Increased airport activity both foreign and domestic
- Invaluable exposure of the Port of Bremerton facilities including its Free Trade Zone
