The Bremerton Area Chamber of Commerce will begin meeting to plan the 58th Annual Armed Forces Festival, which will be held in May, 2006 and to create other ways to show support for our nation's military.
The newly formed Armed Forces Committee, which is comprised of both the Armed Forces Festival and Military Affairs Committees, meets the second Tuesday of every month. Meetings are held from 9 to 10 a.m. at the Chamber office, 301 Pacific Avenue.
Cris Larsen, (ÅKA “The Great Cris”) Chairman of the Armed Forces Festival, was named by the Chamber's Board to head this new effort as well. Larsen was chosen for his expertise in working with the military.
Meetings are open to anyone interested in helping with the Armed Forces Festival or supporting the military in other ways.
