The Port of Bremerton is going through a transition with the pending retirement of two of its long-time employees. The Port welcomes Becky Swanson, CPA, as its new chief financial officer, replacing Lynn Hills, who, after 20 years as the Port's finance and administration director, will be retiring.
Swanson comes to the Port from the private sector with extensive experience in finance, tax and auditing, contract management, and among other professional accomplishments has worked a majority of her career in an airport environment.
The Port also announced the promotion of Ginger Waye to the position of executive assistant. Waye will be replacing Linda Blackwell, who, after 20 years with the Port, will also be retiring. She has gained extensive knowledge and experience during her 13 years with the Port and her promotion to the management team is well deserved.
The Port also welcomed Andrea Kelly hired to fill the position of the Port's secretary, a position being vacated by Waye. Kelly comes to the Port from the Seattle area, with administrative experience in the public and private sectors and is currently working on her Bachelors degree in Business Administration. |
