| The Association of Washington Business (AWB) and Marten Law Group PLLC announce the release of the 2006 edition of the Environmental Compliance Handbook, a how-to guide on environmental rights and responsibilities under Washington and federal law.
Leading environmental attorneys and other environmental professionals throughout the state helped with writing the handbook. It offers clear and concise tables and charts, agency contact information, key statutes and regulations, definitions of key terms, and practical tips to assist business owners and environmental managers in understanding their rights and responsibilities under state and federal environmental laws and regulations.
"The Environmental Compliance Handbook was last published only three years ago, and yet nearly every chapter in it had to be re-written for this 2005 edition because there have been substantial changes in the law," Bradley M. Marten of Marten Law Group explained. "This should not be a surprise when one considers the number of people who make their living regulating the environment."
More than 20,000 employees working at the EPA, and the Department of Ecology, write, interpret or enforce environmental laws impacting businesses in the state. This makes it difficult for employers to stay informed of current laws and regulations.
The Environmental Compliance Handbook provides guidance for Washington businesses seeking ways through the ever-changing landscape of environmental law and regulation.
