| The Public Disclosure Commission (PDC) recently referred two Kitsap residents to the Attorney General for nonpayment and collection of penalties it had assessed earlier. The penalties are more than 90 days past due.
The PDC issues a written order at the end of each enforcement hearing. The Order notifies the respondent whether penalties were assessed. Penalties are due within 30 days. PDC staff sends a reminder to anyone who has not paid at the end of 45 days. Reffered for collection are:
Janice Hillman, 2003 candidate for Bremerton City Council, $500 penalty for not filing candidate registration of personal financial affairs statement. A judgment has been entered for original penalty in addition to fees and costs.
Robert Winters, 1999 candidate for Bremerton City Council, $500 penalty for filing the candidate registration late. Winters is also on the ballot for the Bremerton City Council in the upcoming election. |
