American Marine Bank accepting
contributions for Katrina Relief
A bank account has been established at American Marine Bank by the Red Cross under the name of “Gulf Coast Relief” for the purpose of hurricane Katrina relief. Funds collected under this account are tax deductible and will go directly to the American Red Cross to provide shelter, food, counseling and other assistance to those in need.

The Red Cross is operating more than 250 shelters across seven states, providing a safe haven for nearly 42,000 evacuees - many who have been left homeless by Katrina. The first priority is meeting the urgent, critical needs of these people, which include providing emergency shelter, food and water.

Those who would like to contribute to this fund are encouraged to make checks payable to “American Red Cross” and mail to American Marine Bank, Attn: Gulf Coast Relief, P.O. Box 10788, Bainbridge Island, Wash. 98110. Donations are also accepted at all American Marine Bank offices. American Marine Bank has locations in Bainbridge Island, Belfair, Kingston, Port Angeles, Port Ludlow, Port Townsend, Poulsbo, Downtown Seattle, Sequim and Silverdale.
