| Join more than 350 community members and business leaders for the annual Olympic College Community Luncheon 2005 to be held on Columbus Day, Monday, Oct. 10. The luncheon will be held at the Bremer Student Center on the Olympic College Bremerton Campus, and take place from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. The goal for the event is to raise $85,000 for the students and programs at Olympic College.
This luncheon is the primary fund raising event for the Olympic College Foundation and serves as the kick-off for the annual campaign. Donations raised provide the critical financial support for our students and programs in Kitsap and Mason counties for the 2005-2006 academic year.
Tom Diller, vice president for Anthony's Restaurants, will be the keynote speaker. As vice president of operations, he participates in site selection, landlord relations, new concept development, marketing, menu planning and management selection, as well as representing Anthony's in a number of community activities such as president of the Puget Soundkeeper Alliance, Fall State of Sound Luncheon, and CYO Youth Basketball. Anthony's Restaurants is a strong supporter of the Community College system in each of the communities it serves.
Frank Shiers, Jr. will serve as the emcee. He is currently a news anchor for a Seattle business radio station and regularly fills in for the talk show hosts on KIRO. A lifelong resident of Bremerton and former teacher at South Kitsap, he was raised understanding the importance of education and giving back to the community in which you live.
Sponsors for the event include: Kitsap Bank, Land Title, Courtesy Auto Group, Smith Barney, Puget Sound Energy, Reid Real Estate, Encore Communities, Kitsap Sun, Bremerton Bottling Company, Sonny Beez Landscape, Poulsbo Chamber of Commerce, Scott Broadbent DDS PS, Sprint, Rice Fergus Miller Architects, Art Anderson Associates, Concurrent Technologies, Kitsap Credit Union, Olympic Orthopedic and Spine/Christopher Kain MD, North Kitsap Auto Rebuild, Quinn Brein Public Relations, Dr. Pankaj and Laurie Sharma, and Wolfe Law Offices.
