John Hays, owner of Port Madison Home, a Bainbridge Island home furnishing store, recently announced that the firm’s opening date for its new location at 240 Winslow Way on Bainbridge Island, has been changed to September 30 at 10 a.m. Store modifications and tenant improvements to the company’s new location in the space formerly occupied by Winslow Hardware & Mercantile have delayed the firm’s opening in its new location. A formal “Grand Opening” will take place October 8t and 9.

Port Madison Home will more than double its showroom space, including a design center, at the new location. The company offers “spirited family furnishings” including upholstered pieces, case goods and extensive accessories and gift items. In addition, Port Madison Home offers in-home design consultations and design services to its customers.

Hays commented that Port Madison Home will continue to operate in its current location at 1081 Hildebrand Lane NE until mid-September when it will move all store contents to the new location. The company’s current location, which is approximately 2400 square feet, is available for lease.
