Cosmo’s Deli in Port Orchard, know for its excellent, homemade cuisine, broke ground on July 6, for a new building to be located on Lund Avenue next to Staples. A number of local dignitaries were in attendance, including Port Orchard Mayor Kim Abel and Debbie Austin, president of the Port Orchard Chamber, who was also representing her boss, Commissioner Jan Angel, who was in the hospital at the time, having had emergency surgery the previous evening.

Currently located in a small space next to Starbucks across the street from new building, Cosmo’s will be expanding into just over 3,000 square feet. The new building will seat 50 in the dining room and 12 in the bar. There were will be seating for an additional outdoors on nice days for an additional 16 – 20.

The new facility was designed and is being built by the BJC Group. The new Cosmo’s is expected to be completed the first week of December.
