Bremerton City Councilmember Carol Arends has announced she will seek re-election to her seat from District 7.

Arends, who served as council president in 2000, 2002 and 2003, said, “It is exciting to have been a part of Bremerton revitalization efforts since 1998. I look forward to doing what I can to help assure the completion of Harborside Maritime Park, the Naval Museum and other proposed projects. The rebirth of my home neighborhood of Charleston and of the city of Bremerton is contributing to a spirit of renewal that will benefit the entire Kitsap Peninsula.”

“Carol has my support in her bid for re-election. I enjoy working with her, and have appreciated her help in our efforts to restore economic prosperity and a high quality of life here in Bremerton,” said Bremerton Mayor Cary Bozeman.
