The National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) has given Kitsap Credit Union (KCU) approval to extend membership privileges to anyone who lives or works in Mason County.

The 70-year old not-for-profit financial co-operative’s entire service area includes all of Kitsap, Mason and Northwestern Pierce counties.

In making the announcement, KCU president/CEO Elliot Gregg commented, “We are very pleased to expand our 70-year history of providing safe, sound and secure financial services to members on the Kitsap Peninsula to all Mason County residents”.

The Credit Union’s future plans include offering financial literacy presentations to Mason County schools and exploring additional outreach partnerships with the Washington Credit Union Foundation.

KCU recently opened a full service office in Belfair which will serve as the anchor branch in Mason County.
