Harrison Hospital and Advanced Medical Imaging (AMI) announced plans to implement a new high-speed technology that will streamline communication with medical providers across the state, enabling more rapid diagnosis and treatment for patients. The organizations will use Qwest Communications metro optical Ethernet service, which will link Bremerton, Silverdale and Port Orchard as well as locations outside Kitsap County.
Qwests service allows Harrison and AMI to send large digital images quickly and securely between medical providers. With campuses in Bremerton, Port Orchard and Silverdale, Harrison sends thousands of patient files between facilities each month.
Our communication technology is now in step with our state-of-the-art imaging technology, said Harrison CEO Scott Bosch. Being able to quickly and securely share images that are critical to diagnosis and treatment among an expanded group of providers indeed enhances care for our patients.. |
