Black Hat Seattle Training set for May

Black Hat, Inc., the computer security firm that sponsors the renowned Black Hat Briefings and Def Con, recently announced its first stand-alone training in Seattle. It will take place at the Red Lion Seattle, on May 23-24.

Among the many classes that are being offered, is Joe Grand’s “Hands on Hardware Hacking and Defense Techniques” and “Infrastructure Attacktecs & Defentecs ‘Hacking Cisco Networks’” by Stephen Dugan.

The course offerings are:

  • Development: Aspects of Offensive Root-kit Technology
  • Forensics: Hackers on Honeypots
  • Hardware: Under the Hood: Hands-on Hardware Hacking and Defense Techniques
  • Information Security: NSA InfoSec Evaluation Methodology (IEM) – Level 2
  • Systems Administration: Microsoft Ninjitsu: Securely Deploying MS Technologies; and Security Solaris and Locking Down Linux
  • Technical: Hacking by Numbers: Bootcamp; Infrastructure Attacktecs & Defentecs: Hacking Cisco Networks; and Web Applications: Attacks & Defense-Advanced Edition.

   All materials, lunch and two coffee breaks will be provided. A certificate of completion will be offered for each class.
