Melodious Finale, the last concert of the 2004-2005 Season of the Bremerton Symphony, will feature the Symphony Orchestra and Concert Chorale under the direction of Elizabeth Stoyanovich. The concert will open with combined selections for orchestra and chorale including Mozarts Ave Verum Corpus and Poulencs Gloria with soprano guest soloist Deborah Stephens. Stephens has been heard at New Yorks Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, and on the public television series Live from Lincoln Center. She spent three seasons with the New York City Opera where she appeared in over 45 operas, operettas, and musicals as a member of the ensemble.
During the second half, the sixty-member orchestra will perform Prokofievs Classical Symphony and Respighis Pines of Rome. A pre-concert chat by Maestra Stoyanovich will begin at 6:30 p.m., and the concert starts at 7:30 p.m.
Countrywide Home Loans, Lighthouse Cove Property Management and Tracker Systems, Inc. are the sponsors of the concert. Kitsap Bank is the Corporate Season Sponsor of the 62nd season and The Sun is the media sponsor.
The Bremerton High School Performing Arts Center is the location of the April 16 event. Adult and senior tickets are $22, and youth tickets are $10.
