Kitsap County is accepting nominations for the annual Earth Day Awards, which will be presented by the Board of County Commissioners in April.

Nominations can be made online at www.kitsapgov.com/sw. The criteria for each category is explained on the website. Those without Internet access may obtain the form by calling Kitsap County Public Works’ Open Line at 360-337-5777. This year’s categories are as follows:

• Outstanding Achievement in Sustainability
• Excellence in Environmental Education
• Clean Kitsap
• Green Cleaning
• Outstanding Public-Private Partnership
• Outstanding Achievement in Environmentally Friendly Construction
