Sara Simrell joins Stillwaters board

Sara Simrell, of Paladin Data System’s EKO-System team, recently accepted an invitation to join the board of the Stillwaters Environmental Education Center, a non-profit wetlands environment educational organization headquartered in Kingston. As a member of the board, Simrell will be involved in the organization’s fundraising activities, help with curriculum development, and assist with special events coordination.

“We’re so pleased that Sara has agreed to join us,” said Joleen Palmer, program director of Stillwaters Environmental Education Center. “Her experience in natural resource management and her work with the county will be a big help to us in planning and executing our educational and fundraising programs.”

Prior to her current position as Paladin’s EKO-System project coordinator, Simrell worked as the education outreach coordinator for the Natural Resource division in Kitsap County’s Department of Community Development for close to three years.

Simrell’s husband, Jason Mahin, will also be joining the Stillwaters board, bringing the organization’s board members to a total of 12.
