Paratransit Services recently announced the promotion of Executive Vice President David W. Baker to the position of president/CEO, effective January 1. Baker will succeed retiring President Bill Mahan.
Bakers selection was reached through unanimous consent among the companys top executives, and was ratified by all members of the Board of Directors at their Oct. 26 meeting at company headquarters in Bremerton.
Previously Baker was chief financial officer for National Industrial Concepts of Woodinville; vice president of finance and chief financial officer of QPM Aerospace in Seattle; and Group CFO of the Electronics Division of Pacific Aerospace & Electronics of Wenatchee.
First joining Paratransit Services in 2001 as the company controller, Baker was later promoted to executive vice president/administration and business development. He also provided oversight for operations support, benefits administration, and operational budgets.
Mahan, a former county commissioner for 20 years, also serves as a commissioner for the Port Of Bremerton, and will continue in that role. He is credited with growing Paratransit from a small, locally owned company to a multi-million dollar corporation that now operates in several other states. |
