Phyllis Mann, director of Kitsap County Department of Emergency Management, has been selected to serve on the American Red Cross Terrorism Preparedness Education Advisory Council.
As part of a five-year cooperative agreement with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Public Health Preparedness Department at the Red Cross will work closely with this Advisory Council to develop, evaluate and implement educational materials on terrorism preparedness for the general public.
Ten select leaders will provide expertise and guidance to this critical project. The outstanding cadre of nominees from which the Council was selected, represent a diverse group of organizations and individuals, all of whom have expertise to contribute towards educating the American public and families in particular about terrorism preparedness.
Mann reported to American Red Cross Headquarters in Washington DC for her first bi-annual meeting on Oct. 26. |
