Port of Brownsville Marina, became the first marina in Kitsap County to be certified as an EnviroStar. The marina, located at 9790 Ogle Road N.E. in Bremerton, has demonstrated a commitment to protecting the environment by reducing and properly managing hazardous waste. It has been awarded three stars.

The marina recycles used oil and uses a licensed hazardous waste vendor to dispose of their hazardous wastes. To prevent and contain spills, secondary containers and funnels are used in their maintenance shop. Spill absorbent materials are located at the fuel pump, in the shop, and on each dock to contain potential spills. Fluorescent lights are recycled and the marina provides tenants with containers for recycling aluminum cans.
