If you are a parent with questions about your childs behavior, youre invited to attend a free program featuring a panel of experts who will address your concerns. Open to the public, the event will be held at Group Healths Port Orchard Medical Center, 1400 Pottery Avenue, Thursday, Oct. 28, at 6:30 p.m.
Designed to help parents of children up to 8 years old, the featured panel will include Group Health pediatrician Olga Onay, MD; Group Health mental health therapist Barbara Turecky, MSW; and Sidney Glen Elementary School principal Julie Lee, representing the South Kitsap School District.
The speakers will discuss normal childhood development, temperament, and how to understand and accept your childs behavior. Tips will be offered on how to prepare your child for entering school, when to seek professional help, and the community resources available.
