Jeffrey J. Harrison, DO, has joined Franciscan Medical Group and began practice at its Gig Harbor Medical Clinic June 30.

Dr. Harrison is board-certified in family practice. He is a graduate of the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine. His areas of special interest include sports medicine and women’s health. He provides family-oriented, personal, continuing and comprehensive care.

Before joining Franciscan Medical Group, Dr. Harrison was department head for family practice at Lemoore Naval Hospital in Calif., where he also taught as a physician assistant preceptor for the University of California, Davis. He served three years as medical officer aboard the USS Bridge, and earned the Naval and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with gold star.

The Gig Harbor Medical Clinic hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The clinic offers same-day appointments, including Saturday mornings. For an appointment, call (253) 858-9192.
