Orientation for Washington CASHs business classes takes place Sept. 2 and 9, at 6:30 p.m. at Westpark Community Center, which is located at 76 Russell Road in Bremerton.
This entrepreneurial training program is open to any and all Kitsap County residents who wish to start their own small business.
Classes begin Thursday, Sept. 16, and run for 10 successive Thursdays. Participants must attend one of the orientation meetings to qualify to enroll in the classes.
The program includes:
- 10-week business training program designed for start-up businesses
- Micro-Credit lending, with business loans beginning at $500, and then increasing to $5,000
- Technical support services and business mentorship program
Washington CASH is a non-profit organization that provides business training, micro-credit lending, technical business assistance and peer support to enable low-income individuals to start or expand a small business.
More than 200 people in Kitsap County have graduated from the 10-week course over the past three years. There are over 25 active CASH businesses in Kitsap County, according to David Pippin, Kitsap facilitator for the CASH program.
