The Port Orchard Rotary Club recently installed its new officers for the year 2004-2005. The officers were installed by Assistant District Governor Brain Beagle, with the assistance of Past President Neils Neilson, at a banquet event held at Mary Mac’s at McCormick Woods.

Installed were: President, Lary Coppola, editor and publisher of the Kitsap Peninsula Business Journal; President-Elect, Robert Baglio, president of the BJC Group; Vice President, Dave Hedger, a local attorney and pro-tem judge; Treasurer, Jim Civilla, a corporate officer of Westbay Auto Parts; and Secretary, Claudia Nysoe of Wave Broadband.

Installed as board members were Terry Dielman of United Airlines, Tom Metzdorf of Construction Northwest, Sel Korah of Complete Business Consultants, and Wayne Wright of Applied Environmental Services.

The theme for the club’s Rotary year — Absolute Fun — was set by the evening’s speaker, nationally known comedian Rod Long, who is also known locally for his work with the Bremerton Athletic Roundtable.
