Washington CASH honored eleven participants at a graduation on July 12. CASH also honored the Bremerton Housing Authority and Westpark Community Center with its Community Partner of the Year Award for 2004.

Kitsap Commissioner Patty Lent gave the graduation speech.

The Graduates were Elizabeth Able, Meredith Arsenear, Anna Cartwright, Hannah DeGard, Jennifer Johnson, Mary Linford, Stan Wankowski, Teresa McLaughlin, Shelia Saxon, Michelle Johnson and Dawn Elliot.

The participants completed an intensive nine week free training program to learn how to evaluate a business concept, develop a business and marketing plan, and learn how to operate a small business

In presenting the Community Partner Award, David Pippin, Kitsap Coordinator for Washington CASH said, “This award honors organizations that make a significant contribution to the program. Westpark Community Center, through the Bremerton Housing Authority, more than deserves this award. Their contribution to the program over the years, in conjunction with the success of our clients, has been key to our growth and success.”
