Sponsors needed for Rodeo

The Kitsap Fair and Rodeo is the largest event in the county. It’s fundraising arm, the Cowpokes, were founded in 1996 with the sole purpose of raising money for improvements and prize money directly attributed to the annual Kitsap County Stampede, which is held in August. Due in part by the efforts of the Cowpokes, the Kitsap Stampede was voted #1 Rodeo in the Columbia River Circuit for the year 2000 and 2001.

The Cowpokes are on a mission to continue raising the funds needed to elevate the level of the rodeo to that of a “tour” quality event. Being a tour level event will not only bring additional recognition, but will also draw a higher quality of cowboy participation. The more well-known the cowboys, the greater chances of the event being televised nationally.

The Cowpokes Buckle Club is a group that allows individuals and companies the opportunity to participate and do their part at a level that is affordable each year. Other sponsorship opportunities are available, the Buckle Club is for those that may not be able to participate at the corporate sponsor level, but want to be a part of Kitsap’s most successful annual event.
