Leadership Kitsap, a training program designed to help emerging community leaders expand their skills, is recruiting for the class of 2005.

Training consists of eight “challenge days,” one Friday per month, two Friday/Saturday retreats and one project conducted over a ten month period. The “challenge days” address issues such as education, healthcare, governance and economic development.

The Leadership Kitsap Foundation will select up to 25 applicants, after reviewing the applications and interviewing all applicants. Class will begin in September and run through June of 2005. Tuition is $1,500, with some assistance available.
