The Bremerton Area Chamber of Commerce announced the recipients of the 2004 Thunderbird Awards.

Every other year, the Chamber selects three individuals who most exemplify leadership skills and commitment to the community. This year’s recipients are David Gitch, president and CEO of Harrison Hospital; Gussie Schaeffer, marketing director of The Sun; and Senator Betti Sheldon.
