KITZ buys Olympia station,
extends broadcast area

Alan Gottleib, president of KITZ Radio, Inc. announced the purchase of KGHO-AM, in Olympia, by KITZ.

KGHO, 920 on the AM dial, is a full-time station, which provides coverage to all of Thurston, Lewis and Pierce counties and partial coverage to Mason and Grays Harbor counties.

Combined with the KITZ signal, listeners from Bainbridge Island to Centralia should now be able to hear the station, which broadcasts primarily conservative talk radio.

The stations, to be called MegaTalk 920/1400, will operate from the KITZ studios in the South Kitsap Mall in Port Orchard.
