Once again, the United Way of Kitsap County has reached its fundraising goal for the year. The goal of the 2004 campaign was $1.75 million. The United Way Victory Luncheon, held on March 24, celebrated the accomplishments of the 2004 annual campaign.

“We are very excited to announce that we have reached our annual goal.” said and elated David Foote, Executive Director. “The staff, Loaned Executives and the Board of Directors worked very hard this year.”

The United Way Board of Director’s recently finished an exhausting two and half weeks of agency interviews to help make decisions on allocating pledged funds for 2004. “It is always a tough job for the Board because the total requests are always more than the dollars available for distribution.” said Foote. “The Board does a great job of allocating the funds fairly to the agencies that do such important work in Kitsap County.”
