Viking Bank recently announced it has contributed a $5,000 grant to support the Kitsap Regional Economic Development Council (KREDC).

“We are committed to the economic well-being of the communities in Kitsap County,” said Patrick Redmond, Viking Bank president. “This grant brings much-needed financial resources to promising area businesses.”

The money will be used by the KREDC as part of its new outreach fund, which is dedicated to marketing Kitsap County as a good place to do business to firms out of the area.

On the same day Viking pledged its money, longtime board member Jim Robinson of Robinson Construction also delivered over $6,000 he had collected from a variety of local businesses stepping up to join the effort.
