The March of Dimes 2004 WalkAmerica will take place on April 24. The event begins at 9 a.m., with registration and team photos starting at 8:30 a.m. The walk starts and finishes at Ridgetop Junior High School in Silverdale. The route is approximately eight miles in length, with checkpoints and goodies along the way.

Participants can get involved in WalkAmerica by walking as individuals, forming corporate teams, pledging donations to walkers, or volunteering on Walk Day. Registration forms will also be available at all locations of KeyBank and at Sleep Country USA and Bartell Drugs starting mid-March.

WalkAmerica is part of the March of Dimes five-year national prematurity campaign to increase awareness of the growing problem and decrease the rate of premature birth.
