Recruitment begins for Leadership Kitsap 2005

Leadership Kitsap, a proven community leadership training program, is currently recruiting for the class of 2005.

The Leadership Kitsap Foundation assists emerging leaders in the community to expand their skills in and commitment to voluntary civic responsibility. The training program consists of eight “challenge days,” one Friday per month, two Friday/Saturday retreats and one project which is conducted over a ten month period. The “challenge days” address a wide array of issues facing Kitsap County such as education, healthcare, governance and economic development.

Up to 25 applicants will be selected. All applications will be reviewed and all applicants interviewed, however not all applicants may be selected for the program. Leadership Kitsap now has more than 170 alumni ranging from elected officials to naval personnel, senior executives, educators, private business owners, and health care professionals.

The class of 2005 will begin in September 2004 and run through June of 2005. The tuition for the program is $1,500. Some tuition assistance is available.
