The Bremerton School District announced that two of its building administrators have won regional recognition.

The Association of Washington School Principals (AWSP) has named Diane Metcalf, principal of Bremerton Junior High School, Principal of the Year for the Olympic Region.

John Welsh, assistant principal at Mountain View Middle School, has been named Assistant Principal of the Year for the Olympic Region by AWSP.

The Olympic Region covers Clallam, Jefferson, and Kitsap counties (except for Bainbridge Island School District), and North Mason.

Representatives from each of nine regions around the state are automatically entered into statewide consideration for the year.
