North Mason Chamber installs new officers

The North Mason County Chamber of Commerce installed its 2004 officers and honored its members with a bevy of awards at its annual installation and gala event held Jan. 17 at Lakeland Village.

After a PowerPoint presentation highlighting the group’s accomplishments for the previous year, Outgoing President Mike Boyle presented the Business of the Year Award to Catherine Ann Wolf, C.P.A.

Boyle, owner of North Bay Mortgage, was honored as the Citizen of the Year by the Chamber for his active community involvement in numerous organizations and causes.

The President’s Award was presented to the North Mason Rotary Club, a club barely two years old, for all it has done in the community in that short time.

Installed as officers for 2004 by Mason County Court Judge Victoria Meadows, were: President, Ken Wilson of Wilson Communications; Vice President, Tim Wing of Reid Real Estate; Secretary, Linda Blackwell of the Port of Bremerton; and Treasurer, Catherine Ann Wolf.

Installed as Trustees were: Fred Barrett of Allyn Analytics; Stacy Benton of the Pizza Factory; Mark Christel of LPL Financial; Mike Greene of Mason County Fire District 2; Tom Kelly of the North Mason School District; Bonnie McCullough of the Selah Inn; Pam Merrill of Outlook Writing & Design; Leanna Swanson-Sanchez of Hood Canal Travel; Phil Wolff of the Department Of Natural Resources; Lisa Woodward of Peninsula Community Federal Credit Union and Mike Boyle of North Bay Mortgage.

The guest speaker for the evening was Lary Coppola, Editor and Publisher of the Kitsap Peninsula Business Journal, with entertainment provided by popular comedian Rod Long, who was back by request for the second year in a row.
