Despite a devastating fire on July 19, Glenn Custom Milling is back to full production. Although working in half the space previously available, full production was achieved in 12 days after wreckage clearing began.
Extraordinary efforts by firefighters not only saved half of the mill structure and major equipments but also stopped what could have been far reaching devastation in surrounding residential and timbered land.
Helping hands locally and from outside the community brought the business back to life. Major efforts from Pauls Electric, Shelton; Pascher Construction, Shelton; Mason County PUD 3; Snider Simpson, Tacoma; McGuire Bearing, Tacoma; and Magriff Machine in Blaine.
Future plans at the mill call for reconstruction of the lost part of the facility with potential expansion to follow. |
