Chamber and Winslow property
owners working together

The Bainbridge Island Chamber of Commerce is working in concert with the newly formed Winslow Way Property Owners Association – comprised of roughly 60 owners of property along Winslow Way – on planning the look, feel and scale of Bainbridge Island’s main drag into the future. The effort is being led by architect Bill Isley of Bainbridge Architects Collaborative and includes Winslow Way landlords, and representatives of the city, the chamber, the Downtown Association and the city’s Public Art Committee.

The group is awaiting final approval from City Council to match the owners’ $75,000 contribution in its 2004 budget. The money will be used by the group for Winslow Way design considerations related to future construction, utility improvements, potential gateway improvements, code changes and resolving downtown Winslow parking and delivery truck challenges.
