Hood Canal Brewery opens tasting room

Hood Canal Brewery recently announced the opening of its new tasting room on the southwest corner of Bond and Port Gamble Roads. Don Wyatt, owner and brewer, serves up tasters, pints, bottles, growlers and kegs of his local signature beers from noon to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday; and noon to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

His local signature beers include the Dosewallips Special Ale, Dabob Bay IPA, Agate Pass Amber, Big Beef Stout, and Breidablik Barley Wine.

Visitors can meet the brewer; get tours of the brewery, and either sample products on site or purchase to go.

“I had been operating the brewery in a building next to my home for 7 years and this new facility gives me the opportunity to talk with my customers, which I really enjoy. They seem to enjoy the variety, too,” says Wyatt.
