A free ten-class seminar for those who have mild memory loss problems will be held in Poulsbo beginning September 10, at Martha and Mary Health Center, 19160 Front Street NE, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. The seminar sponsored by the Alzheimers Association Western and Central Washington State Chapter will offer individuals the chance to meet and share with others who are experiencing the same, learn about ways to cope with memory loss, and learn about legal and financial planning.
The program is offered in partnership with several local organizations: Martha and Mary Health Center, Kitsap County Aging and Long Term Care Services. Lutheran Community Services NW, Alterra Clare Bridge of Silverdale and the Port Orchard and Silverdale Group Health Cooperative Medical Centers. Space is limited, so pre-registration is required by calling (800) 848-7097, extension 227.
A concurrent group for family members, companions, and care partners is offered at the same location and time. Participants will meet once a week with trained leaders. Free educational materials will be provided. |
