Port Orchard resident Rick Lear has announced the opening of his new computer services business, “The Computer Coach.”
   Lear, who is CompTIA A+ certified, offers a variety of services to the new computer user from assisting with the, setup of a new computer system to teaching how to use it. He is also available as an instructor for formal classes on Basic Computing, Microsoft Word and Excel. Lear currently teaches at Seattle Goodwill in Bremerton.

“My goal is to help the new computer user who spends hundreds of dollars on a new computer system, gets it home, and then has no idea how to put it together or how to get it to work. With cutbacks in technical support by the major computer manufacturers, the new computer user may be forced to wait on the phone for two hours or more in order to talk to a live person. I’m local and I can solve the problem in a fraction of the time.”

Lear is a graduate of the Washington CASH program where he developed his business idea. He has also worked at Microsoft providing technical support.
