Clear Creek Task Force holding second
annual “Celebrate Clear Creek”

The Clear Creek Task Force, part of the Great Peninsula Conservancy, will be holding its second annual “Celebrate Clear Creek” event on Saturday, Oct. 4 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Clear Creek/Saq’ad Interpretive Center (red barn) located at Bucklin Hill Rd. and Levin Rd. in Silverdale.

The event will feature a salmon bake ($5 per person), native tribal dancing, kids stream monitoring activities, exhibits and displays. There will also be guided trail walks, historic character portrayals, farm tours, a native plant sale, speakers and presentations as well as the second annual “Salmon Run” fundraiser, plus the display and auctioning of decorated art board salmon.

Businesses, groups or individuals who would like to sponsor a salmon for the “Salmon Run” can donate $5, $10 or $25 for different sized art board salmon, which they take home, decorate and embellish, name if they like and return for judging and display.
