Paratransit reorganizes management structure

In what it termed a “renewed corporate commitment,” Bremerton-based Paratransit Services recently reorganized its management structure.

Key moves are the promotion of Christie Scheffer to executive vice p and resident and COO; and David Baker to the newly-created position of executive vice president of administration and business development. Scheffer and Baker join President and CEO Bill Mahan and executive vice president CFO Darlene Riley on the executive management team.

Formerly, Scheffer was general manager of Paratransit Services&Mac226; Medicaid transportation program in Portland, Oregon. In her new position, she will provide corporate oversight for the firm’s transit programs in Alaska, Washington, Oregon, California, and Virginia.

Baker, formerly the firm’s vice president of finance, will now direct wide ranging corporate support functions, including human resources, training and safety, payroll and benefits administration, and business development.

Paratransit Services, founded in Kitsap County in 1980, provides accessible public transit systems and transportation call center services under contract with governmental agencies and local transit entities in five states.
