ChroKnowledge works with companies to preserve and chronicle their perishable historical assets, such as film, video, photos and documents.

Unfortunately, time is working against this process. Films shot in the 1950s and 60s are degrading daily, and employees who can provide valuable oral histories of an organization are retiring in record numbers. Videotape – the lifeblood of corporations for the past 30 years – has a useful life of 10 to 20 years before the images simply disappear in a static haze.

To prevent this, ChroKnowledge has developed methods, techniques and technologies necessary to retrieve, inventory, catalog, preserve and make historical assets available in a form that will not erode or degrade over time.
